The Sutton Club Dress Code
Sutton is the poshest and most exclusive large club in Barcelona. It is in very high demand and has one of the strictest doors in Barcelona. Sutton will only let in the rich, the young and the beautiful. With that, it’s definitely important that you know what to expect at the door and to look that you know what you are doing.
This includes knowing how you need to be dressed.
Below I’ll inform you what you for both Men and Women to get past the door and I’ll even throw in some wardrobe recommendations for you. Enjoy…

The Sutton Dresscode for Men:
So boys, being a guy is always a little more complicated when talking about nightclubs. Although the ladies love you, the night clubs want to keep you in the minority, so you had better make the extra effort for top nightclubs like Sutton. Sutton is open from Wednesday to Saturday, with Friday and Saturday being much more selective than during the week.
The Clothes:
On Wednesday and Thursday, the “official” club policy is to be dressed impeccably and to be 21+ for the Thursday and 18+ for the Wednesday. In practice, I’ve seen the dress code be enforced tightly on Thursday but the Wednesday tends to be a tad more relaxed. However, you still have 0 chance of making it past the door with running shoes or gym wear.
On Friday and Saturday, you really do have to be dressed like you mean it. A very stylish shirt/T-shirt, and a good pair of pants are a must.
The Shoes:
Shoes are what bouncers always tend to pick on first and foremost in any club. Running shoes, tennis shoes, casual sneakers that are too flashy are all unaccepted. To give you an idea, the minimum is a Stan Smith type sneaker as they are “stylish” enough. To be safe, bring out some nice dress shoes and you’ll be alright.
The Hair:
Unfortunately, clubs in Barcelona are far more picky with filtering hairstyles than in other cities. I’m sorry, there is little you can do if you have one of the following types of haircuts but if you do, you’ve been warned that you might get rejected at the door.
Any sort of Rasta situation is not allowed at all for guys and girls. I have also seen people rejected due to their hair looking unwashed and unkempt so be sure to shower and make an effort to look clean. And finally, the more controversial haircut filter is with the undercut. The style of hair that has the sides shaven short with longer hair on the top is not allowed in the upscale clubs of Barcelona. Don’t ask me why. It is just the way it is.
The Tattoos:
Tasteful and stylish tattoos aren’t a problem. The detail to know is that if you have excessively visible tattoos, for example, if you are covered with tats on your arms and you have your arms exposed, you won’t get let in in most cases. What’ll have you rejected for sure are face or neck tattoos. If you have those best go somewhere else.
The Company:
In Sutton you will get in as a group of guys if you fit all of the above (e.g. you look good and like you’ll spend inside). However, a trick if you perhaps are not 100% on your shoes or your haircut is bringing in some lovely female company with you. Its the oldest trick in the book for nightclubs around the world and will work a charm at Sutton as well.
VIP Clients:
If you go ahead and splash a little on a VIP table (We provide a free VIP table concierge and reservation service) you’ll find that some aspects of the dress code get excused a little. However, Sutton is still tight on who they let in and especially who they give the best tables to. So if you have that big 1500euro prime table reserved and you aren’t fitting the dress codes, you’ll likely be sat at a table further in the back and out of sight of the club photographer.
Free Guest List Clients:
We have our own guest list at Sutton which will get you free entry until 2am every single night, just sign up and either show your confirmation email at the door or just say “I’m on the Scott List” at the door.
You will have to fit the Dress Code above, you will get rejected if you don’t.

The Sutton Dresscode for Women:
When it comes to nightclubs and partying, being a girl is a privilege. Everyone wants you in their club, which makes things a little easier for you to get into even the most selective clubs.
The short version of “things you need to know to get into Sutton” is:
Sutton is worth dressing up for, so do it.
You’ll feel more at home if you use your night out at Sutton to make an effort to look your best! I recommend whatever makes you feel your most attractive!
Other than that, these are the details you need to know:
The Clothes:
Anything sexy is fine. However, anything that may expose your intimate lady parts can get you rejected. You’ve been warned.
The Shoes:
Essentially the guidelines are similar to those above for the guys. High heels are not a must, and the bare minimum is some sort of stylish sneaker. A Stan Smith is fine, tennis shoes are not.
The Hair:
Pretty much anything goes, except anything rasta or coloured in a distasteful manner.
The Tattoos:
I’ve never seen any girl be rejected due to her tats, so anything goes.

You’re done!
